The 12th Philadelphia Fed Policy Forum, “People, Place, Prosperity: Revitalizing Our Cities,” will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia (19 S. 22nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103).
The Policy Forum, organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Research Department, brings together a group of highly respected academics, policymakers, and market economists for a discussion of challenges facing cities and strategies for revitalization; role of education in developing human capital and promoting economic mobility; and approaches to promote economic growth and economic inclusion.
The Policy Forum is not intended to be a traditional academic conference nor a discussion of issues relevant to the next FOMC meeting. Rather, the Policy Forum takes a longer-term perspective and attempts to engage the right people in a discussion of current research and its implications for economic policy.
The conference is free of charge, but space is limited and registration is required. The registration deadline is Monday, November 13, 2017.
