PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia announced the appointment of Audrey S. Oswell, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Resorts Atlantic City, to its board of directors for a three-year term beginning in January 2006. Each of the 12 Reserve Banks has a nine-member board of directors, which oversees Bank operations. The directors also provide information about economic conditions in their industries to monetary policymakers.
Prior to Oswell’s current post at Resorts Atlantic City, she was president and chief operating officer (COO). Before that, she was president and COO of Caesars Atlantic City while heading operations at Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel and managing Dover Downs Slots. She began her career in the finance department of Caesars Atlantic City in 1979.
Oswell also currently serves as president of the Casino Association of New Jersey. The CANJ is comprised of representatives from nine operating casinos in Atlantic City and serves as a unified voice for the state's casino industry. She also serves on the board of Jewish Community Center of Atlantic and Cape May counties.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Temple University and an MBA in marketing from Drexel University.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia helps formulate and implement monetary policy, supervises banks and bank holding companies, and provides financial services to depository institutions and the federal government. The Philadelphia Fed serves the Third District, which is eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware.
