Philadelphia Fed Appoints Four to Credit Union Advisory Council

PHILADELPHIA - The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has appointed several business leaders to serve on its Credit Union Council for three-year terms beginning this year. The 12-member council advises Federal Reserve officials about regional business conditions and economic issues that have an impact on the marketplace.

David W. Clendaniel is president and CEO of Dover Federal Credit Union, Dover, Del. Clendaniel is a member of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) membership committee and the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES). He also serves as a director for the United Service Organizations in Delaware and the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce. Honored in 1998 as "Credit Union Professional of the Year" in Delaware, Clendaniel holds a bachelor's degree in business management and accounting from Delaware State University in Dover, Del., and an associate's degree in the same from the University of Delaware, Newark, Del.

Eileen Crean is president and CEO of CUMCO Federal Credit Union. Crean serves as vice-president for the South Jersey chapter of the New Jersey Credit Union League. She serves the Credit Union Affiliates of New Jersey as a member of the small credit union committee and the political action committee. She was previously employed as a consultant and lending specialist for the New Jersey Credit Union League. Crean attended Camden County Community College in Blackwood, N.J.

Louise P. Lingenfelser is president and CEO of UGI Employees Federal Credit Union. Lingenfelser is a member of the Credit Union Executives Society and has served on the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association. She is a member of the Manufacturers Association of Berks County and the Berks County Chamber of Commerce. Lingenfelser has completed Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) courses and attended the Credit Union Management Institute of Penn State University.

Robert L. Marquette is president and CEO of Members 1st Federal Credit Union. Marquette is a member of the regulatory review committee of the Pennsylvania Credit Union League and serves the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation on the board of directors, as secretary, and as chairman of the fundraising committee. A finalist for the Ernst and Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" award in 2002, he is chairman of corporate recruitment for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes. Marquette holds a bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg State College, Bloomsburg, Pa.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia serves depository institutions in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. The Bank supplies cash to the banks and thrifts, supervises them, collects and processes about 5 million checks daily, wires money and securities nationwide, and participates in the broader objective of setting monetary policy.
