Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Announces Promotion

PHILADELPHIA - The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has announced that Michelle M. Scipione recently received a promotion to Cash Services Officer. Scipione had been on a special assignment to improve contingency preparedness for the Federal Reserve System's Cash Product Office.

Prior to her special assignment, Scipione served as director of the System's Professional Education Program. Before that, she was the national cash manager for the Cash/Fiscal Product Office. Scipione started her career at the Bank in 1989 as an auditor. She was transferred to the Cash Services Department in 1992 as an analyst and received a promotion to manager of administration, automation, and special projects in 1995.

Scipione holds an MBA in management from LaSalle University and a bachelor's degree in finance from Temple University. She is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Society.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia serves depository institutions in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. The Bank supplies cash to these banks and thrifts, supervises them, collects and processes about 5 million checks daily, wires money and securities nationwide, as well as participates in the broader objective of setting monetary policy.
