PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has announced that three employees received promotions.
Donna Brenner was promoted to budget officer from group manager of financial control. Richard A. Sheaffer was promoted to vice president of the Treasury Services Department from assistant vice president of fiscal operations. Anthony Scafide Jr. was promoted to assistant vice president of the Customer Services and Support Department from customer services and support officer.
An employee with the Bank since 1983, Brenner held the position of financial control manager before her appointment as group manager. Prior to that, she served as coordinator of financial control in the Information Technology Services Department. Brenner holds an MBA from Drexel University in financial management and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Temple University.
Sheaffer, who heads the Treasury Services Department at the Bank, was securities operations officer before his appointment to assistant vice president of fiscal operations. Prior to that, he was director of the securities division. Sheaffer has been with the Bank since 1974. He holds an MBA and bachelor's degree from Temple University.
Scafide, who started at the Philadelphia Fed in 1979, was a manager of wholesale payments before his appointment to officer. Prior to that, he held the position of manager of financial accounting. He holds a bachelor's degree from Drexel University and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University's Banking Administration Institute's Graduate School of Bank Operations and Technology.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia serves depository institutions in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware by supplying cash to these banks and thrifts, supervising them, collecting and processing about 5 million checks daily, wiring money and securities nationwide, as well as participating in the broader objective of setting monetary policy.
