Adam Scavette is an economic analyst in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He is an administrator of the Nonmanufacturing Business Outlook Survey, which is a monthly survey of nonmanufacturing firms in the Third Federal Reserve District. He also produces a quarterly forecast of the key economic variables of the U.S. and the Third District states (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware).
His own research interests include econometric forecasting, regional economics, and transportation economics. Coverage of his research has appeared in Bloomberg, NPR, the Wall Street Journal, City Observatory, and Travel Weekly.
Scavette joined the bank in 2011. He has a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in economics from the University of Edinburgh, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Villanova University.
