Anna Tranfaglia joined the Community Development and Regional Outreach (CDRO) Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia in September 2018. Before joining CDRO, she held other positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Her research interests include applied spatial econometrics; financial inclusion, focusing on access to formal financial institutions; housing finance; and economics of gender.

Tranfaglia is pursuing a Ph.D. in economics at Temple University. She has an M.A. in economics from American University and a B.S. in economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
