The 2024 Anchor Economy Conference brings together healthcare and higher education institution leaders, community development planners and practitioners, researchers, experts, and others to share and discuss anchor strategies and best practices, as well as potential public policy supports, that can help advance anchor collaboratives nationally.
This event is cohosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and the Healthcare Anchor Network (HAN).
The conference aims to explore the history and the future of anchor impact in regions and the potential for when anchor institutions collaborate in partnership with community. Attendees will take a critical look at how anchor institutions have shown up in place and the potential for them to deepen their impact in creating economic opportunity and building community wealth. Several interactive sessions will allow participants to collaboratively envision how Anchor Institutions can leverage public policy to deepen the impact of anchor strategies.
