The library serves the economists and staff of the Research Department and other areas of the Bank. We also assist bankers, teachers, students, and consumers with a variety of information needs.
The collection of books and periodicals focuses on economics, monetary policy, and banking. The library maintains an extensive collection of the publications of the Federal Reserve System and materials dealing with its history and policies. Many of these publications are indexed and linked to full text in Fed in Print. ![]()
Employees of the Federal Reserve System and financial institutions are permitted to borrow circulating material. Students and the general public may borrow materials through interlibrary loan, a service provided by universities and public libraries.
Reference help is available to the public in person, over the telephone at 215-574-6540, or through e-mail. ![]()
The library is open to the public by appointment only (215-574-6540), Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
