Visiting the Philadelphia Fed

The Philadelphia Fed is located at Ten Independence Mall, on the corner of 6th and Arch streets. Visitors to the Money in Motion exhibit should enter at the 6th Street entrance. All other visitors should enter at the 7th Street entrance.

The Bank's Library and Research Center is open to the public by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Out-of-State Travellers

Philadelphia International Airport

Trains depart from the airport to downtown every half hour, from early morning until late at night. The 20-minute ride makes five stops: Eastwick; University City; 30th Street Station (30th & Market); Suburban Station (16th Street & JFK Blvd.); and Market East Station (11th & Market). Market East Station is within walking distance of the Fed.

Travel time from the airport to the Fed by taxi is approximately 25 minutes at off-peak traffic times. Approximate one-way cost is $30.

Amtrak

Amtrak trains operate from 30th Street Station (30th & Market Streets). Cab fare from the station to the Fed is approximately $12.

For an alternative, SEPTA's Market-Frankford subway-elevated line runs from 30th & Market to 8th & Market Streets, two blocks from the Philadelphia Fed.
