PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Federal Reserve has announced the promotion of John D. Ackley to Treasury Services Officer. Ackley was a manager in the Treasury Services Department.
Ackley began his career as a shipping clerk in the Bank’s Savings Bond Division in 1973. Over the years, Ackley has held various supervisory and management positions in the Bank’s Savings Bond and Securities Divisions, and the Treasury Services Department. He has also been active in supporting collateral management activities across the Federal Reserve System. Ackley is a graduate of the Bank Administration Institute. He attended Temple University.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia serves depository institutions in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. The Bank supplies cash to the banks and thrifts, supervises them, collects and processes about 5 million checks daily, wires money and securities nationwide, and participates in the broader objective of setting monetary policy.
