Community Profile: Atlantic City, NJ Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA)

Introduction

The Atlantic City, NJ MSA consists of Atlantic County and includes the principal city of Atlantic City.* The MSA is located in the southeastern region of New Jersey and borders Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Ocean counties. The Atlantic Ocean is Atlantic County’s eastern border. The city of Atlantic City is located on narrow, 10-mile long Absecon Island, which lies several miles off the mainland.
